DUBAI  - The United Arab Emirates dirham dropped in the forwards market on Thursday, Refinitiv data showed, amid tumbling oil prices and widespread weakness across asset classes in the Middle East.

The UAE dirham hit a premium of 80 points against the dollar in the one-year forwards, from a close of 61 points on Wednesday. Thursday's levels were the weakest since July 2017, according to Refinitiv data.
