Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has connected 1.070 million residential units to natural gas during fiscal year 2019/2020, 107% higher than planned.

The total number of residential units connected to natural gas systems amounted to 11.1 million by the end of FY19/20, the country’s minister of petroleum Tarek El-Molla said in a statement on Sunday.

The petroleum ministry succeeded in achieving record levels in its four-year plan for FY18/19 and FY21/22 which includes delivering natural gas to 3.4 million customers.

During FY20/21, the country aims to provide 1 million residential units with natural gas to achieve its goal one year ahead of its plan.
