SINGAPORE- Asia's naphtha intermonth spread fell to a four-session low of $2.25 a tonne on Tuesday while gasoline premium to Brent crude was also at a four-session low of $4.85 a barrel as high oil prices weighed.

- With the world still trying to curb the spread of the pandemic, demand recovery for gasoline has been volatile.

- Malaysia's Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on Tuesday said targeted lockdowns would be imposed in areas with high rates of coronavirus infections, as the country grapples with a sharp spike in cases over the past two weeks.

- But the government is not thinking of a total nation wide lockdown for now as that would bring the social and economic systems down, he said. 

* TENDERS: Taiwan's Formosa offered 250,000 barrels of gasoline for first-half November lifting from Mailiao through a tender closing on Oct. 7.

* OTHER NEWS: Fuel oil, bitumen and gas exports from Total's 102,000 barrel per day (bpd) Granduits oil refinery have been halted due to a strike but diesel and gasoline exports are unaffected, workers' union CGT said in a statement. 

* HURRICANE: Hurricane Delta has strengthened to category 2 and could become a major hurricane when it reaches the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. 

- Oil firms including BP, Chevron and BHP have started evacuating staff from their platforms.

* CASH DEALS: One gasoline deal but there were at least 20 bids.
