Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD) will host Dr Jim Kurose, former assistant director for computer and information science and engineering at the US National Science Foundation, former assistant director for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and visiting professor and advisor at SCAI, at the opening of the Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence.

During the ceremony, the distinguished professor will deliver a presentation titled ‘Artificial Intelligence: Promises, Challenges and Global Perspectives’. He will enumerate the future prospects of artificial intelligence in various fields including health, education and science discoveries.
 
The scholar also will discuss trustworthy AI systems, their working mechanisms and the challenges associated with them. The audience will receive insight into international AI activities, SCAI’s significant contributions towards the excellence of interdisciplinary research, education, and various other aspects concerning artificial intelligence.
 
Professor Jean Chambaz, the President of Sorbonne University and Vice Chairman of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD), commented: “We are delighted to host Dr Jim Kurose, the internationally renowned, award winning academic who has specialized in artificial intelligence and its associated science.”
