Bahrain yesterday recorded the highest single-day spike with 1,968 Covid-19 cases, alongside 1,342 recoveries and 13 fatalities. 

Six Bahraini men, 66, 86, 44, 70, 75 and 69; five Bahraini women, 70, 65, 51, 47 and 64; and two expat men, 55 and 62, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 765.

Of the new cases, 634 were expat workers, 1,323 contacts of local cases and 11 travel-related.

An additional 1,342 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 186,961. Of the 16,798 active cases, 303 are receiving treatment and 187 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 204,524 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 4,393,681 virus tests.
