ABU DHABI  -- Hotel stay revenues in Abu Dhabi rose by 13.8 percent in September as compared to August, according to figures released by the Statistics Centre- Abu Dhabi.

There are more than 163 hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi, including hotels, resorts and serviced apartments, according to the Department of Culture and Tourism- Abu Dhabi, statistics.

The growth in revenues is attributable to a 5.8 percent increase in hotel establishments' accommodation prices in the capital during the month of September as compared to the preceding month, while serviced apartments' accommodation costs were up 1 percent during the same monitored period.

According to the Annual Hotel Price General Index, hotel stay costs went down in September 2017 by 17.6 percent against the corresponding period in 2016.
