Dubai-based healthcare technology company Pure Health has launched COVID-19 screening for outbound travellers in Dubai.

The new service, which is part of Pure Health’s global passenger screening portal, will allow passengers planning to fly outbound from the emirate to get tested at two new facilitates in Dubai Marina and The Palm Jumeirah, with a home service facility to be added soon.

In a press release, the company said the new test sites will provide results of the COVID-19 RT-PCR tests within 12 to 24 hours.

The company’s international passenger screening project manager, Maria El Houari, said Pure Health had first been mandated by the UAE government to launch pre-flight screening for those arriving in the UAE in June 2020.

“Due to the unrivalled success and service provided by Pure Health, that portal has now expanded to become a global passenger COVID-19 screening portal. With our presence in over 70 countries, through more than 1500 laboratory sites, we are proud to launch our services to the UAE,” she said.

The company has been operating medical and diagnostic laboratories in the UAE in Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) hospitals since 2017, starting with 11 laboratories. The company now manages more than 150 laboratory facilities in the UAE.
