MANAMA: Bahrain moves to the Covid-19 “yellow alert” level from today until further notice.

The Official Gazette has published a decision issued by Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh to this effect.

The National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19) earlier announced that the country will not move to the green level until 80 per cent of individuals, aged 40 and above who are eligible for a Covid-19 booster shot, receive the jab.

This decision has been taken following the approval of the Government Executive Committee due to the increasing spread of the Delta variant in many countries around the world and to enhance the immunity of the population.
