617 new COVID-19 cases registered in Bahrain on Sunday

Of the 6,856 active cases, 110 are receiving treatment and 66 in critical condition

Bahrain yesterday registered 617 new cases of Covid-19 alongside 617 recoveries and five fatalities.

Three Bahraini men, 69, 81 and 70 and two Bahraini women, 79 and 81, died yesterday, taking the total deaths to 449.

Of the new cases, 229 were expat workers, 374 contacts of active cases and 14 travel-related.

An additional 617 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 115,089. Of the 6,856 active cases, 110 are receiving treatment and 66 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 122,394 cases.

The kingdom has also conducted 3,092,326 tests.
