AMMAN — Inspection teams of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities shut down 21 tourist facilities between January and February 22 for violating defence orders and the lack of commitment to public health and safety measures, the ministry announced on Wednesday.

The inspection teams also issued 102 fines to tourist facilities, 245 fines to other shops and institutions, in addition to 42 individuals who failed to abide by public safety measures, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The ministry stressed that its personnel will strictly enforce defence orders, and will intensify inspection campaigns to ensure full compliance with health and public safety measures.
