As the end of the year approaches, business owners in the Kingdom hope that 2022 would be a chance to rebound and rebuild after almost two years of the pandemic.
“Many businesses have thrived during the crisis, but the vast majority of businesses have been negatively impacted, with the revenues down by over 50 per cent this year,” Waleed Ali, a grocery store owner, told The Jordan Times on Tuesday.
Ali added that businesses in Jordan have mainly relied on digital marketing during the current year, in order to emerge stronger from the crisis as soon as possible.
“Digital marketing spending will for sure increase in 2022. What I know for sure is that business owners will make the most of the circumstances in 2022,” he said.
There have been lots of setbacks and challenges since the pandemic first came, said Ahmad Khalil, an employee at a mobile shop in Amman.
“The world is now accustomed to following COVID-19 measures, therefore I think the overall situation in Jordan will be better in 2022,” he added.
After almost two years of the pandemic, businesses are still struggling, according to Saad Subhi, owner of a clothing shop.
“We do not know what the New Year holds, but I am sure that all entrepreneurs and businesses will capitalise on trends to boost their sales,” Subhi said.
