The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has cautioned the public not to believe WhatsApp messages about free credits - especially for Emiratis - on the occasion of UAE's 47th National Day.
It issued a warning on Saturday evening regarding such fake messages on its Twitter account.
The TRA said that if one clicks the link in the message, it would give away the personal information of the user.
It called on the people to ignore such messages and stay safe.
