Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi asserted, on Saturday, that his recent visit to France aimed at restoring stability in the region.
During his inspection visit to the Military Academy, Al-Sisi said that Egypt is keen on enhancing bilateral cooperation with France, especially in the military, security and cultural fields. He added that the Egyptian policy is based on cooperation with world countries and establishing balanced and moderate relations in order to achieve development and reconstruction away from polarisation.
He has also reviewed the measures taken by Egypt to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, by following precautionary measures, equipping quarantine hospitals, and alerting all concerned state agencies.
He expressed his appreciation for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for providing Egypt with the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines, emphasising the distinguished relations between Egypt and the Gulf states, especially the UAE.
The president also congratulated the new students for joining the Military Academy, affirming that the presidency is following the tests for joining the academy.
The Egyptian presidency’s spokesperson Bassam Rady stated that during the Saturday visit, Al-Sisi had followed the training and rehabilitation programmes for students of the Military Academy.
The President has also praised the high capabilities and competence of the students of the Military Academy and their efforts to reach the highest levels of readiness in the college, urging them to maintain their fitness and their high physical and mental readiness, Rady said.
Al-Sisi praised the sacrifices made by the brave men of the Egyptian Armed Forces in order to protect the homeland, stressing people’s appreciation for the sincere efforts aimed at preserving the security and stability of Egypt and encountering any attempt to undermine the state.
