AMMAN — The first phase of digital ID activation for public servants has kicked off, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced on Wednesday.

In a statement, the ministry said that this pilot phase is meant to ensure the smooth training of the staff designed to provide the activation services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The verification of the IDs will be gradual and according to citizens’ needs. Digital transformation starts from operationalising the digital IDs to access government services through a single platform, the statement added.
