RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has granted Rashid Centre for The Determined Ones AED 50,000 in support of the educational and rehabilitation efforts of the Centre. The support marks celebrations of Zayed Year and Centennial and corresponds to the government’s efforts to make Dubai a friendly city for ‘People of Determination’. It is also part of the corporate social responsibility of the DTC.
“As a leading transport entity in Dubai, we are obliged to support the educational, training and rehabilitation needs of the people of determination. Supporting ‘Rashid Center for The Determined Ones’ reflects RTA’s strategy of integrating this prized community segment and engaging it in the development drive. This initiative epitomises our efforts to make Dubai a friendly city for the ‘People of Determination’ by 2020,” said Dr Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation.
DTC attaches considerable attention to the ‘People of Determination’. It seeks to identify their needs and aspirations and develop the initiatives enabling them to benefit from the services offered. It has provided custom-made taxis for ‘People of Determination’ fitted with new technologies for lifting wheelchairs onboard smoothly and safely. These taxis are also driven by well-trained drivers on caring for ‘People of Determination’. The service is ready for booking on the number (042080808) and is available 24/7 at the Dubai airports.
“As part of its keenness to assist the ‘People of Determination’ and in continuation of RTA’s charitable drive, DTC has rolled out the Charity Journey offering free rides to ‘People of Determination’, be it Emiratis or Dubai’s residents, under the Year of Zayed initiatives. The step underscores our commitment towards social responsibility and the noble values we stick to,” concluded Al Ali.
