The Sharjah Municipality has decided to stop cash transactions at all its service centres in the emirate from July 15, it tweeted on its official account.

The civic body will collect fees, dues or fines through credit card, Tahseel card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Emirates ID or via direct debit from bank account.

Some of the SM services include parking subscription fees, fines, fees related to issuing or renewing of permits for commercial businesses and service charges.
