School classes will continue to be aired on Bahrain TV after the successful telecast of 375 lessons.

Teachers are signing up to continue giving televised classes at a new studio in Wadi Al Sail Elementary and Intermediate School for Boys set up with the co-operation between the Education Ministry and the Information Affairs Ministry.Several teachers have expressed the importance of continuing to televise lessons.

“After the successful 375 school classes being aired on BTV, the school classes will continue being aired on TV from a new studio,” said the Education Ministry in a statement yesterday.

“The new studio in Wadi Al Sail Elementary and Intermediate School for Boys was set up to help the teachers deliver the classes.

“Al Wafa Secondary Girls Schools mathematics teacher Amal Saif said that continuing airing the classes on TV is an added bonus to the education system in Bahrain and for the teachers.

“Another mathematics teacher at Al Hidd Secondary Girls School, Shaikha Al Shumali, thanked the ministry for the special experience and the government for continuing the education year despite the coronavirus.”

The ministry had suspended classes in all education facilities since February due to the pandemic.

The GDN reported on July 10 that the 2020-2021 academic year for Bahrain’s schools will start in September as planned.

Teachers and administrative staff will have to report to work, while students will either attend classes or study online or both, depending on the ministry’s decision concerning government schools and what private schools, kindergartens and higher educational institutions will decide in this regard.

The ministry stressed the need to observe health and precautionary measures issued by the authorities concerned in the kingdom.
