Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima) has exported about 157,000 tonnes of urea since the beginning of fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022.

The company has entered new markets, including Eastern Africa, Romania, and Portugal, according to a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.

The foreign-currency revenues will help Kima meet its obligations and achieve a surplus in the near future.

In fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, Kima reported net losses of EGP 1.33 billion, slightly down from EGP 1.35 billion a year earlier.
