Egypt executes over 127,600 social housing units

6,100 additional units are currently under construction

ArabFinance: The housing ministry has executed 9,680 units of the social housing project in Sadat City, Deputy Executive Director of the Social Housing Mortgage Finance Fund (SHMFF) Salah Hassan said, according to the Cabinet’s statement.
 
He added that 6,100 additional units are currently under construction, while the ministry is considering offering 576 new units.
 
In New 6th of October City, the ministry already accomplished 37,968 units, while 32,304 other units are being built.
 
Hassan noted in Badr City, the ministry has been constructing 79,968 units in the social housing project, while 26,976 new units are considered to be built.
 
This brings the total social housing units already constructed in the three new cities to surpass 127,600.
 
Assem el Gazzar, Egypt’s housing minister recently announced the completion of 166,000 residential units.
