Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt has allocated EGP 308.3 billion in the 2021/22 draft budget to support the national and developmental projects of economic entities, the Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, announced on Sunday.

Maait said that the country has 57 economic entities which achieve surpluses and profits for Egypt's Public Treasury.

The Minister of Finance added that the new draft budget allocates EGP 87.2 billion for the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) and EGP 5.5 billion for the development of the Egyptian National Railways.

In addition, the draft budget has raised the public investments by 27.6% to EGP 358.1 billion to upgrade services for the citizens.
