ArabFinance: Carrefour Egypt pumped investments of more than EGP 70 million to launch a new hypermarket in Town Center, in partnership with real estate developer Marakez, according to a December 1st press release.

The retailer, which is owned and managed by UAE Majid al Futtaim, currently operates in Egypt through 56 facilities, the statement added.

Carrefour Town Center has a leasing space of up to 4,000 square meters, according to the press release.

The group is expected to launch four new branches over the coming period, the statement added.

Last September, Carrefour revealed EGP 200 million new investments to expand across Egypt.
