Kuwait  - China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) has completed the delivery of the first batch of its units within the Al Mutlaa Residential City Project to the Kuwaiti authorities ahead of schedule.
 
This includes the related plots for 12,177 housing units, which accounts for 70 percent of the project, reported Xinhua.
 
The Chinese group had already excavated and backfilled about 70 million cu m of soil and stone and laid 2,800 km of underground pipe network.
 
On completion, the Al Mutlaa Residential City Project, which is a vital project under China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, will accommodate 400,000 people. The construction area of the whole project is about 120 sq km, it added.
