KUWAIT CITY: Alzubda App, one of Shore Ventures growing startups, and Kuwait’s Arabic news provider, is expanding its scale to cover all of the Gulf countries as a first step towards revolutionizing daily news consumption.
Starting with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is expected to grow its Gulf reach by end of May.
Within its first year of launch, Alzubda App has attained over 105,000 downloads and over 192 million reads for more than 150,000 news stories published.
The news industry in the Arab World is growing and surely shifting to new forms and formats and this has made it more accessible for the public to reach the news, and it also made it easier for newsmakers to manipulate readers with biased titles and sided stories.
Commenting on the expansion plans, Mr. Fahad Al Roomi, [CEO of Shoreventures] said:
“Alzubda as a word in Arabic is commonly used when seeking short and concise information and this is where we were inspired to create the app.
The amount of news shared daily on all platforms has made it impossible for the casual newsreader to follow. It’s cluttered, repetitive, and very subjective, and that’s why we are on a mission to provide a factual platform that does the work behind the scenes, and provides curated and personalized content to the user, which they can consume easily and efficiently and according to their preferences.”
Alzubda App briefs and recaps, in 60 words or less, on local and international news truthfully and objectively.
A team of professionals is dedicated to research thousands of the most important and trending news sources daily, verify these sources, monitor stories, and then work on extracting the important aspects of those stories in less than 60 words, while maintaining objectivity and a factual basis of the story.
Alzubda App provides the ultimate access to the latest news and trends from all around the world and in a user-friendly manner.
With the current expansion plans across the GCC region, Alzubda App is going to introduce new services via the application and its social media platforms, dedicated to cover different media outlets, both written and visual, and this is to ensure that the news followers have the ideal overall picture of the news pieces in any format they prefer.
