UAE - Mubasher: Ajman Free Zone has completed 73% of its eco-friendly zone project, which will include a number of warehouses, offices, and service blocks that serve several sectors, according to a press release on Tuesday.

The green zone is in line with Ajman Vision 2021 to attract more local, regional, and global investors to the emirate by offering them new additional units, including showrooms, warehouses, and sustainable industrial facilities, according to a press release on Tuesday.

The warehousing units in the AED 36 million green initiative will be equipped with advanced tools to cut electricity consumption, reduce carbon emissions, and achieve the best sustainable practices.

Launched in July 2020, the strategic 9,070-square-meter Eco-Friendly Zone is expected to be completed by February 2021.

The Director General of AFZ, Ali Abdulla bin Towaih Al Suwaidi, said: "This will not only help further expand the free zone’s capacity to fully support commercial and industrial activities, but it will also increase its competitiveness in a world that is steadily marching towards a sustainable future."
