The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has purchased a 1.3% stake or 139.03 million shares in Credit Suisse, becoming the second-largest shareholder in the Swiss lender, Reuters reported on January 23rd, as per data by Refinitiv based on a filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Accordingly, QIA’s ownership in Credit Suisse rose to 6.87%, equivalent to 272.25 million shares, from 5.57%.

It is worth noting that Saudi National Bank is the largest shareholder in Credit Suisse, holding a stake of 10%.
