The Sultanate of Oman and Saudi Arabia underlined the significance of constructive cooperation in addressing the challenges facing the region by all peaceful means through dialogue and reaching consensus in a bid to consolidate pillars of security, stability and peace for everyone.

The decision came during a consultative meeting of Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) at the Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The two sides exchanged cordial conversations. They also reviewed a set of fields and opportunities of cooperation and partnership between the two countries at the government and private levels.

They affirmed their determination to hold the first Oman-KSA Coordination Council during 2023 after completing the formation of committees and teams at the same council. These committees and teams will hold preparatory meetings during the upcoming period.

At the political level and the at the level of regional and international developments, the two ministers discussed a range of issues and latest developments. They underscored the importance of continuing coordination of stances on the same.

At the end of the meeting, the two ministers asserted the depth of advanced, fraternal ties binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
