China's homegrown narrow-body jet C919 will be put into operation in the near future, the plane's debut customer China Eastern Airlines said on Thursday.

China Eastern signed an agreement with planemaker COMAC in 2021 for the purchase of five C919 passenger planes and the first was delivered at the end of 2022. (Reporting by Sophie Yu, Brenda Goh; editing by Jason Neely)
