Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water & Renewable Energy is expected to award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for its Al-Zour South Station Infrastructure Work project by the second quarter of 2023.

“The tender for the EPC contract was issued on 18 December 2022.  The bid submission deadline was on 22 January 2023, which was extended to 14 March 2023. The contract award is expected by end of second quarter 2023,” a source close to the project told Zawya Projects.

The bidders for the EPC contract list include Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Company (HEISCO) and Barak Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al-Barrak & Sons International Contracting, officials from the two companies confirmed.

The project's scope of work involves the construction and rehabilitation of seawater entry and exit lines at Al-Zour South Station.
