Iraq will resume work on three stalled hospital projects, planning ministry spokesperson Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi told Zawya Projects.
He said a special committee set up to address the problems of stalled hospital projects throughout Iraq recommended resumption of work at three hospitals, namely the 400-bed Al-Kut Hospital, the 100-bed Dujail and the 100-bed Al-Tuz hospitals after settling problems with contracting companies. He said the completion rate at these hospitals stand at 31 percent.
Al-Hindawi said the committee has recommended measures to restart work at the Nahrawan, Al-Hussainiya and Al-Hakim hospitals that have 200 beds each, and the 100-bed Al-Garmah Hospital, with completion rates ranging between 22 to 17 percent.
Additionally, the committee reviewed a detailed report regarding the stalled 400-bed hospitals awarded to Turkish companies in Karbala, Maysan, Dhi Qar, Basra and Babel, he said.
