Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is likely to issue main construction tender for its Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory, located in Mohammed Bin Rashid Solar Park in the first quarter of 2022, a source close to the project said. 

“The design work has commenced and the tender dates for the main construction contract is expected to be issued by early January 2022,” a source close to the project told Zawya Projects. 

Global Engineering Office (GEO) has been appointed to provide design and lead consultancy service for the research laboratory, the source said,  

The bidders for the design and lead consultancy service comprised of GEO, which had submitted the lowest bid followed by Archdome Consulting Engineers, Dar Al Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), Eng. Adnan Saffarini Office, Nad Al Shiba Engineering Consultant, BD&S Middle East Engineering Consultants, and Dar Al Omran, a second source told Zawya Projects.  

The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2023, the first source said.
