Saudi master developer ROSHN, backed by Public Investment Fund, has launched its fourth residential community in the Kingdom.

Covering an area of more than 10.8 million square metres, ALFULWA project in the Hofuf, Eastern Province will house more than 18,000 residential units and a population of over 100,000, state-owned SPA news agency said.

ALFULWA follows the launch of SEDRA and WAREFAH in Riyadh and ALAROUS in Jeddah.

“Over the next few years, our objective is to create residential developments that provide the Saudi community with access to modern amenities in a sustainable and natural environment,” said ROSHN’s Group CEO David Grover.

In its design and construction, ALFULWA will adopt the latest sustainability principle, contributing to an 18 percent reduction in energy consumption costs. It will also incorporate architectural features of the Eastern Province’s buildings.

Details on ALFULWA's cost or construction timelines weren’t given.
