Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed an agreement to establish a logistics centre in King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam for the United Electronics Company (eXtra).

The logistics centre will be constructed on a land plot of more than 32,000 square metres at the cost of 35 million Saudi riyals ($9.33 million), Mawani said in an Arabic press statement.

No timeline for the construction was given.

King Abdulaziz Port has an integrated logistics area of 100,000 sqm.

The latest deal runs parallel with the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub connecting three major continents, the statement added.
