Dubai, UAE – With the price of fuel on a continuous upward trajectory in the UAE, local green provider of heavy industry products, Zaeto has launched a unique diesel formula called D-Zel Aid, which reduces the amount of fuel used in motor vehicles upward of 10%, and more in some cases. The launch is another step taken by Zaeto, to assist the UAE Vision 2021 announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which promotes practices that work towards creating a sustainable environment.
D-Zel Aid was designed to save on fuel economy as well as reduce NOx (Nitrogen dioxide and nitric oxide) levels produced by vehicles, which can be extremely harmful to the environment and people’s health. After months of tests and trials, the formula – when added to diesel (or biodiesel) in both vehicles and general machinery – is proven through typical combustion processes to reduce the production of NOx and burn cleaner, thereby creating less soot and increasing efficiency.
“D-Zel Aid is a revolution for the market,” says Zaeto founder, Nicholas Brooks who describes it as the “perfect solution” to fuel economy. “The product was specially-designed to make engines run better, which is beneficial for both the consumer as well as the environment. Recently, RTA has implemented the use of lower sulphur diesel fuel, so we see the country making massive strides towards green initiatives when it comes to transport. This is highlighted in the UAE Vision 2021, which states the importance of economic growth in a sustainable manner whilst protecting the environment, and we want to be a major contributing factor to achieving this vision.”
According to a report released by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), 1.51 million people, on average, used Dubai’s public transport options every day in 2017. While the Dubai Metro accounted for a large portion of the total, other fuel-consuming transport options were significant contributors, including taxis (32%) and buses (28%). The report also stated that motorists in the emirate spent, on average, 29 hours stuck in rush-hour traffic last year – which is a substantial amount of fuel wastage and harmful emissions.
D-Zel Aid is the first product to market that, when added to the diesel, allows lower levels of both soot and NOx to be produced. “Only a small amount, about 0.3ml per litre, is needed in order to see a difference. Using D-Zel Aid will show a major reduction in the number of times a trip to the fuel station is needed, as well as a welcomed relief on the consumer’s pocket,” he says.
Brooks states that D-Zel Aid is suitable for almost all diesel vehicle types – especially Euro 3 and Euro 4 stage vehicles (which are most common in the UAE) where emissions are not buffered by DPF, EGR or SCR systems. This means that companies wanting to follow the goals of the UAE leaders for improved emissions now have a way to do so instead of spending millions on asset changes overnight.
Putting D-Zel Aid to the test: case studies
Both consumers and industry have made use of D-Zel Aid during the trial period, with some of the results as follows:
- Anthony Tripley, a Military Advisor who has used D-Zel Aid in his motor vehicle, states that he has experienced an average improvement of 13% with his personal driving, which includes both city and freeway.
- A gentleman further afield, who has a car that requires a burn every 200km (i.e. a REGEN which happens in Euro 5 or 6 vehicles), added the D-Zel Aid treatment to his tank and drove 330km before the burn light was present.
- Another customer said he ‘hit the jackpot’:
- He filled his tank and drove 300km before needing a refill
- Upon filling up the second time (60litres), he added D-Zel Aid and drove 300km
- When filling up again, only 51litres was needed, illustrating a saving of 9 litres by merely adding the D-Zel Aid solution.
- A tour company manager in Spain, which recently started using D-Zel Aid recently on his vehicles, witnessed obvious improvements which has lead to the company implementing wider business practices aimed at fuel saving and lower emissions.
- An established freight company in Australia has been using the wider range of Zaeto products, and has claimed that its trucks have shown improvement in power, as well as achieving fuel economy returns of at least 16% when driving on the open freeway.
Zaeto products are recognised as The Green Standard within the heavy-duty industry such as mining, shipping, construction, agriculture, marine and ground transportation. Its range of products also includes lubricants and greases that can be used across a multitude of industries. Through the high-tech green formula, companies have found less wastage, more efficient operations and reduced downtime, resulting in significant cost savings.
