Manama, Bahrain: Universal Rolling (Unirol) the first manufacturer of steel reinforcement bars in Bahrain will be Steel Sector Sponsor for the upcoming Gulf Construction Expo.

Taking place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre the Gulf Construction Expo will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, from 22-24 March 2022.

Unirol plays an active role in the development of Bahrain’s infrastructure as a reliable supplier of reinforcement steel bars. The company is ready to supply the Kingdom’s marque projects including the Metro and the new Bahrain – KSA causeway.

Operations Director of Universal Rolling Mr. Ali Der comments “2021 was a tough year for the steel sector as it was for all sectors of the economy. We approach 2022 with optimism and confidence brought about by the positive indicators in Bahrain’s economic recovery.”

In 2021 Unirol focused on developing its products and upgrading its accreditation certificates. It has succeeded in obtaining Kuwait’s product quality certificate ISO 6935-2, and the recognition of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) with regard to technical requirements for iron bars in 2020. Both additions compliment their certifications portfolio, that includes the UK Cares certification and the ISO 9001 quality management system.
