New production Line Boosts Manufacturing Capacity for Personal Care Products

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 26th January 2009. Unilever, one of the world's largest Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies announced its latest expansion in the region.  The Binzagr Unilever factory located in Jeddah, KSA, has accomplished a major milestone with an aggressive capacity expansion.

The new production line runs at a high speed to manufacture personal care products. According to Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman, Unilever North Africa Middle East, "This is a historic moment for the Binzagr Unilever Factory. It symbolizes the wealth of opportunities in the region and Unilever's commitment to North Africa and Middle East."

The Binzagr Unilever factory contributes to Unilever's production in five main categories including Hair Care, Fabric Softener, HouseHold Care, Personal Wash (Liquid and Soap) as well as Oral Care.

"This increased capacity will enable the Binzagr Unilever factory to expand the range of products it manufactures, as well as export to several countries across the Middle East & North Africa region" adds Yasir Jamal, Works Director, Binzagr Unilever Factory.

The expansion of the manufacturing capabilities will further boost Binzagr Unilever factory's standing into becoming a world-class manufacturing facility for consumers throughout the region.
