CAIRO:– The global COVID-19 outbreak has brought about unprecedented challenges in our daily lives, and we remain deeply concerned about all those affected by the pandemic.
Through UNICEF, Tetra Pak Egypt is supporting the stepped-up government efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 by donating to UNICEF. The allocated amount is part of the Tetra Laval Group’s recent donation of €10 million to support global COVID-19 relief efforts.
The contribution will be used to provide around 285,000 personal protection equipment to support 1055 frontline workers for a period of one month as part of the Ministry of Health and Population’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wael Khoury, Tetra Pak Egypt Managing Director, said “we remain fully committed to play our part in ensuring continuous food supplies in the country, while maintaining important measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees and all those involved in our operations.”
