- The change will come into effect this month, allowing talabat partners to receive payments on an average of a 3 day-cycle.
Dubai: talabat, the region’s leading food delivery and q-commerce platform, has announced a major initiative that is set to revolutionise the cash flow for its restaurant partners, starting this month, by increasing the frequency in which they receive their remittance. Having already set an industry-leading two weeks cycle at the start of the pandemic, talabat has now chosen to take a step further and send restaurant partners their payments every three days.
talabat’s groundbreaking initiative is designed to further strengthen cash flow as well as continuing to display talabat UAE’s dedication, support and commitment towards empowering their partners as they navigate their way through the pandemic. The organisation has developed the initiative as a solution after thorough assessment on proactive measures showed that a reliable cash flow was a significant area of concern amongst many partners - particularly local and small businesses based in UAE. Through this innovation, talabat can now continue to help support the local ecosystem.
Speaking on the importance of prioritising local partners and small businesses across the country, Jeremy Doutte, Vice President of talabat UAE said: “talabat has been working tirelessly to offer local businesses in the UAE as much support as we can through these difficult times.”
“The safety and growth of all our partners remains a top priority and that is reflected in our proactive decision to increase cash settlements for partners to twice weekly, bringing flexibility to our entire ecosystem.”
Additionally, Doutte commented on how vital it is for industry leaders to support local and small businesses in the current market conditions: “We encourage all leading companies in their respective industries to consider what is best for their ecosystem, and proactively enable those within it to thrive by introducing sustainable changes. We have seen great potential and a wide scope for growth in UAE-based startups and small businesses - and it is absolutely crucial to create an ecosystem in which they can reach their full potential.
As well as increasing the frequency of payment to restaurant partners to twice per week, talabat UAE has also introduced a series of measures to reassure their partners of their safety since the beginning of the pandemic, including mandatory PPE, contactless delivery, commission deferrals, and free delivery to encourage customers to order from local small-medium enterprises at various stages of the pandemic.
