One lucky winner of the DSS Grand Raffle to get a BMW car and Dh100,000 totalling up to half a million dirhams in the first draw being held over the weekend. Tickets for the second draw go on sale
The mystery will finally unfold over the weekend as the lucky winner of summer's most popular raffle the DSS Grand Raffle is announced. DSS begins today with the Ice Surprises themed week opening ceremony to usher in a summer full of surprises and great fun and all you know it could turn out to be a special event in your life and bring you a winning streak. Now that the grand summer fiesta is here to make your dreams of a perfect summer come true, it could also help you realise bigger dreams if you are the lucky winner of the first draw.
The very first winner of the raffle will be announced over the weekend in front of the ticket holders and the general public and the event will be aired live at 9.50pm on Sama Dubai TV. The lucky winner will walk away with a swank new BMW X5 4.8is plus Dh100,000 in cash totalling up to approximately half a million dirhams.
Said Ibrahim Saleh, COO of DSS, "We have received an outstanding response to the raffle so far which is only going to get better with the beginning of the DSS as tickets for the second draw are already on sale and going out fast. The participants of the first lot are waiting with their fingers crossed and the excitement is rising by the second as we get closer to the draw. The name of one lucky winner will be drawn over the weekend at a specified location amidst cheering crowds and the draw will also be aired live on television."
To enter the draw all you have to do is buy a raffle ticket worth Dh 200 from any Emarat Petrol station in Dubai or one of the participating malls or a street-side venue in the emirate such as Deira City Center, Al Reef Mall, BurJuman, Mall of Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall, Modhesh Fun City, Baniyas Street, Gold Souq, Al Fahidi Street.
All those who did not buy a ticket for DSS Grand Summer raffle still have a chance to do so before the second lot closes. You never know it could be your name too and you could be richer by half a million dirhams. It's a chance to strike it rich in a matter of hours!
The raffle will run throughout the DSS and draws will be held subsequently to choose a winner out of a lot of 5,000 each. The probability is quite high and anyone could be a winner.
The DSS Grand Raffle, the biggest raffle draw of the summer season is held under the aegis of DSS office in association with Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC), the exclusive importer of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates and Emarat and has proved to be a major attraction of the summer fiesta over the past years. Launched in 2004, the BMW raffle as it is popularly known is much in demand by residents as well as visitors. Last year it saw a huge sale of tickets and 20 top of the line BMW cars were given away as prizes along with millions of dirhams in cash.
The 10-week long DSS, which opens with Ice Surprises week on June 21, will continue with the weekly themes such as Arts Surprises, International Food Surprises, Adventure Surprises, Cartoon Surprises, Nature Surprises, Knowledge Surprises, Flower Surprises, Heritage Surprises and concludes with Back-to-School Surprises on September 1.
