Specialized Technical Services (STS), based in Amman - Jordan with offices in Dubai - UAE; Ramallah - Palestine, and in Damascus - Syria, has established itself as a leading regional IT provider, and a well-established provider of innovative solutions for the e-Business sector. Most of the Group's delivered solutions primarily targeted at both the Government and the financial sectors, in general, and the Banking Sector, in specific. Among their many claims to fame are that they implemented the first Internet business project in Jordan as early as 1995, delivered the first e-Banking project in Jordan in 1999, and the first e-Government project implemented in Qatar in 2000.
As the regional distributor for the POS terminal manufacturer, Hypercom, STS has provided POS solutions to numerous financial institutions in the Middle East. To complement its existing POS solution and transform its delivery to a full-fledged EFT solution, STS looked to Mosaic Software, a leading switching solution.
BUSINESSONE, STS' e-arm based in Dubai, specialises in offering software solutions in the e-Business space. Postilion fitted well with this focus. To get the business up and running they recruited Stevi Lowmass (the General Manager of Mosaic Software's European and Middle Eastern Region) to join them in Dubai. The core technical team of developers and implementers will be based in Amman-Jordan, where STS can draw from the expertise of over 80 technicians, most MSCE qualified. Sami Abugharbieh (Area Sales Manager) based in Amman will be responsible for delivery across the region. The Dubai office will be used to provide first level support to local clients with Sami's team supporting out of Amman.
