Saudi Power Transformers Company, "SPTC" Delivers 25MVA 33kVPower Transformers in 6 months to Jubail Water Supply Project as part of the new Jubail Desalination Plant "SWRO-4".

The Project was initiated by Marafiq to provide water on rush basis to meet the requirement of Sadara Chemical Company and other industries in Jubail. The Sadara Chemical Company has been established as joint venture by Dow and Saudi Aramco to be one of the largest petrochemical complex in the world.

The new Jubail Desalination Plant SWRO-4 is being constructed by consortium of Binladen Group and Acciona Agua. It will have a capacity of 100,000m3/day, representing well over twice the combined capacity of the city's existing five desalination plants. Jacobs Engineering is the project management consultant.

The Water Supply Project is being constructed by Binladen group & L&T,  with target to complete this summer to meet the demand of SADARA. The Project will supply water from the new 100,000m³ per day SWRO-4 plant through large size Pumps powered by SPTC transformers.

SPTC is the first Power Transformer factory in Saudi Arabia and based in Dammam. SPTC is a joint venture between Saudi Transformers Co. and CG Power System Belgium (formerly known as Pauwels ) .
