As a part of Starwood Policy to support the Egyptian government efforts and encourage meeting, incentive & conference tourism, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Egypt organized in coordination with Emeco Travel , Egypt Air & the Egyptian Tourism Authority a trip for the top tour operators that organize meeting, incentive and conference trips from United Kingdom, France, Germany & Italy.

30 Top tour operators accompanied by press delegation from Germany & UK came to Egypt and visited historical sites and other places of interest in Cairo as well as Gouna & Soma Bay by the Red Sea.

The objective of the trip was to further promote Cairo, Soma Bay & El Gouna as incentive and meeting destinations in the UK, German, Italian & French markets. Throughout the trip, the attendees were invited to experience a number of facilities and services offered at these destinations. These included the experience of a Nile trip prepared by Cairo Sheraton, a snorkeling trip organized by Sheraton Soma Bay and at last the magnificent architecture at Sheraton Miramar along with a desert safari at El Gouna.

The whole trip was one of many to come to expand the number and size of the MICE tourism feeder markets, by increasing awareness of the wide diversity of attractions in Egypt in general and in Cairo, Soma Bay and El Gouna in particular.
