Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers is proud to announce that its Area Director of Public Relations has received the prestigious Starwood Hotels and Resorts' President's Award for the year 2006, presented by Roeland Vos, President of Starwood Hotels and Resorts for the Europe, Africa & Middle East division.
The aim of the Award is to recognize associates' best achievements in their individual Starwood properties throughout the region. Cindy's accolade is a result of her outstanding work in Public Relations field for the hotel group in UAE.
Cindy has also been instrumental in driving the Sheraton Dubai Creek's unique culinary charity campaign titled 'From the Diplomat's Kitchen' Cook Book. "It is through her tireless efforts that this project became a reality. The launch of the Cook Book certainly elevated the hotel to a new level amongst the hospitality and diplomatic community in UAE as much support was garnered through the extensive coverage and PR mileage we received", said Thomas van Opstal, General Manager of the 5-star hotel.
In addition to this award, Cindy has also been recognized by the Divisional Office as "Green Belt of the Year" for her considerable contributions to the success of Six Sigma within the hotel chain.
