The 5-star rated Salalah Marriott Resort, the first Marriott Hotel in the Sultanate of Oman and the Phase 1 of the prestigious Mirbat Beach project held a grand ceremony at Mirbat on 24 March 2010 to celebrate its opening.
H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Marhoon bin Ali Al Maamari, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar region, was the chief guest at the event that was attended by H.E. Dr Rajiha bint Abdulamir bin Ali, Minister of Tourism, local dignitaries and VIPs.
Guests were treated to local cultural performances, themed dinner and a tour of the impressive Marriott Resort.
