FibreFix among a series of international manufacturers launching new products at exhibition
A repair tape that is stonger than steel, was among the highlights of the first two days of Hardware + Tools Middle East, which closes tomorrow at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Launched for the first time in the Middle East by FibreFix from the USA, the repair wrap, which is activated by water and is sand and paint resistant as well as able to survive the extremes of the regional weather, is ideal for permanently repairing leaking joints, broken pipes, indoor and outdoor fittings and a myriad of other uses.
Using the wrap one can easlly seal off leaks in hoses and pipes, repair breaks in tent poles, fishing rods and hand tools and similar objects. FiberFix combines industrial-strength with a specialized resin to fashion the repair wrap that hardens like steel to provide a permanent fix. The wrap is activated by simply dipping it in water and wrapping tightly around the broken object. The resultant bond that forms within 15 minutes, is stronger than steel and 100 times stronger than duct tape.
"Bringing the innovative FibreFix to the region for the first time, we chose Hardware + Tools Middle East as our launch platform, because of the large number of regional traders and buyers who attend the show," said Osama Bastaki, CEO of Osama Bastaki International Group. "The Middle East region is an important market for global manufacturers of tools and machinery thanks to it's high growth rates."
Others who launched their products at the exhibition included: Channellock from the US, with a comprehensive range of hand tools and specialty tools; Uken from the UAE and Wiha from Germany were also prominent among the exhibitors debuting new products introducing their measuring tools, drill bits, finishing and interior tools and abrasives and award-winning ergonomically designed hand tools.
Hardware + Tools Middle East 2016, has brought together 184 exhibitors showcasing more than 250 brands. The show features three Country Pavilions from China, Taiwan and Thailand.
