Award demonstrates QPAY International’s role in enhancing State’s ICT sector and contributing towards the goals of National Vision 2030

Doha, Qatar – QPAY International, Qatar’s largest financial technology company and a member of NEXXO Network, has been crowned ‘The Best Technology Company in Qatar’ at the Qatar IT Business Awards 2018 – further recognition of its exceptional work in delivering the latest and most efficient fintech solutions for more than 12,000 small business.

QPAY was honored for its role in role in enhancing the State’s IT sector during the awards, an initiative of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), held at the St Regis Doha and attended by His Excellency Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the Minister of Transport and Communications, and other senior officials.

Since its founding in 2012 with the aim of increasing efficiency of small businesses, QPAY has worked determinedly to establish strong relationships with local Qatari banks and regulators and building trusted partnerships. These partnerships have enabled the leading financial institutions to see the added value provided by QPAY in building a strong small business sector and a cashless society.

The firm was one of 14 leading Qatari IT and telecoms companies to receive an award from the MOTC, one of several initiatives from the ministry to invest in and grow the State’s ICT sector.

QPAY now partners with more than 50 per cent of the State’s small business sector, which is a crucial contributor to the economy.
