Doha, Qatar: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), the largest Islamic bank in Qatar and one of the leading Islamic banks in the world, has announced the 30 winners of the cash prizes offered by Visa International for QIB Visa Debit card holders who used their cards at selling points inside and outside Qatar. The campaign took place during the months of May, June and July and has achieved great success.
The Visa Debit card offers many advantages for customers such as security and acceptance of the card at millions of commercial centres and hotels around the world. There was an overwhelmingly positive response from customers, thus contributing to an increased use of cards when making purchases.
A QIB spokeperson commented, "We are glad to provide exciting promotions to our customers who can win prizes for their regular habits. This provides additional value to our customers. The response received from our customers clearly shows that that QIB continues to provide products and services that meet our customers' needs."
The Visa Debit promotion is within QIB's long-term strategy to increase its market share by not only increasing card issuance, but also through enhancing customer awareness in order to use debit cards as an alternative to cash due to the security the cards offer as well as convenience..
