At 3rd international gas processing symposium 2012

Qatargas Chief Executive Officer, Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani won the "Excellence in Gas Processing Practice" Award at the 3rd International Gas Processing Symposium, being held in Doha from 5 - 7 March under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar.
The award was presented by Dr. Sheikha Abdulla Al Misnad, President of Qatar University, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, at the opening ceremony of the symposium.
The award was presented in recognition for the Qatargas CEO's leadership role in Qatargas' innovations that have had a significant impact on the company's operations and on the gas processing industry in general.
Following the award ceremony, Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Qatargas CEO said:
"I am honored to receive this award on behalf of Qatargas. Under the guidance and direction of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, Chairman of Qatargas Board of Directors, the company has continued its successful journey toward our goal of becoming the world LNG premier company by 2015. Our People and our strong partnership with our shareholders and customers has been key to our success. I would like to congratulate the management team and all the employees of Qatargas on this achievement."
The symposium is organised through the Gas Processing Centre Technical Advisory Committee and is an opportunity for gas industry experts to help provide direction around the challenges of the gas industries and inject practical experience into the research process without stifling the creative thinking process.

The Symposium is held Under the Patronage of His Highness the Heir Apparent of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani in conjunction with Qatar University and the Gas Processing Center.
