This year, the exhibition witnessed the participation of 12 young Qatari designers, and a pavilion to display the jewellery of 13 Indian designers celebrating the Qatar - India Year of Culture 2019.

The event included the second edition of the DJWE Forum, a charity auction held in partnership with the French Auction House, Artcurial, as well as valuable expert discussion sessions and workshops on the watch and jewellery industry.

Mr. Khalid Al Jumaili of the Qatar National Tourism Council, along with Mr. Mazen Abed Rabbo, Vice President of Auditoire Middle East, honored the young Qatari designers. Six exhibitors were presented with awards The best stand activation award was presented to Al Fardan Jewellery for their efforts in organizing highly relevant events during the show, and the award for the Best Cultural Heritage Activity went to Al Majed Jewellery in honor of their distinctive presentation of the craft of traditional Qatari craftsmanship. Ali Bin Ali Luxury was awarded for the Best Stand Design, and Amiri Gems for the Best Social Media Campaign. The award for Best Print Campaign went to Fifty One East, and the Best New Participant Award to Mujawhraty Watches and Jewellery.

About Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE)
The 16th DJWE was celebrated this year as an exceptional international exhibition and a destination for viewing, enjoying and interacting with great works of art. Under the Patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar and Minister of Interior, the Young Qatari Designers initiative showcased the talent of twelve Qatari designers in one dedicated pavilion. DJWE has provided a distinctive platform for their YQDs to exhibit and be discovered alongside the world’s most well known brands.
