QAQ targets to attract visitors at the biggest tourism event
Sharjah: Qanat Al Qasba participates for the first time in Germany at the ITB Berlin 2007, the largest global exhibition in the field of tourism and travel. The exhibition will be held from 7 to March 11 this year.
ITB Berlin is considered one of the most important exhibitions that is provided by Messi Berlin World every year, and works as a platform where tourism makers in the world meet annually. An important event for the global travel and tourism industry and related fields, this exhibition provides an opportunity to create forums and symposia that brings investors and experts together in the field of international tourism.
Marwan Al Sarkal as chief executive officer of Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority said, "We are delighted to announce our first participation at the Berlin ITB which is an important venue that enables us to talk directly to our target audiences including tour operators, residents and tourists from various nationalities and age groups. By participating at such events, we aim to promote Qanat Al Qasba as a tourist and entertainment destination at national, regional and international levels."
Participants from various tourism organisations from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, representing the United Arab Emirates will form the biggest sector at the ITB Berlin this year.
The Sharjah delegation will be chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority. This delegation will include many of the relevant authorities and representations from various tourism locations, including Qanat Al Qasba. QAQ will be represented at ITB Berlin by Al Sarkal, Yousef Al Mutawa, marketing executive and Ahmed Al Qaseer, business development manager.
Sharjah will participate at ITB Berlin for the tenth consecutive year this time and the emirate has attracted more than 50 thousand German tourists during 2006, up 10% from the previous year.
The exhibition opens its doors to the public in the last two days, where they can enjoy discovering interesting destinations from more than 180 countries from around the globe.
