Pure Gold Jewellers records 25% increase in sales at Abu Dhabi Duty Free

Dubai, UAE; August 15, 2012: Award winning jewellery retailer Pure Gold Jewellers recorded an increase of 25% sales at its Abu Dhabi Duty Free operations in the first half of this year compared to the corresponding period in 2011. Pure Gold Jewellers is the exclusive sole concessionaire for jewellery at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 at Abu Dhabi International Airport in agreement with Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and offers a wide range of gold, diamonds, pearls and color stones jewellery.

This year we have witnessed a substantial 25% increase in the first half compared to last year. According to recent ADAC figures, Abu Dhabi International Airport welcomed over seven million passengers during the first half of 2012, a significant increase of 22.8% compared to the same period in 2011; this is the highest volume of passenger traffic recorded by the airport. There are currently 53 airlines operating through Abu Dhabi International Airport. In the first half of 2012 ADAC recorded several key achievements and milestones, including the "Best Airport in the Middle East Award" at the prestigious 2012 World Airport Awards.
